everything is already on the internet. if i'm paying money for a physical object to correspond to the 1s and 0s, i want something that's "fleshy" and responds to the environment its around, not a poindexter coke-mirror to jam into another beebeep box.
and yeah, it's fetishism. sorry to do that to you. but so is obsession with audio quality. and most of the things that count as sounding "good" in yr jams.
also, if you're doing it right and know where to look, it is often cheaper to buy used music on vinyl than cd.
:Just make a CD already. No one cares about your faux-retro fad. And what's with vinyl+mp3? At least make them FLACs if you actually care about audio quality.
