:C'mon... as much as I like you folks, every other week is overkill. Having a well-oiled machine is fine, but it gets worn down over time.
I have to assume I don't know you. Because if you were one of my friends I would hope you could say something like this to my face instead of anonymously on a message board.
Let's take a look at this, shall we?
We play 6/9 at Townhouse, then exactly three weeks later on the 30th at a house show, then a week and a half later at Press Club. I think this is where you see the problem. The Townhouse and Press Club shows have been booked for a month or so at this point. The house show on the 30th came together in the last week, the bands specifically asked to play in a house and specifically asked to play with G. Green. I see no inherent problem in this. They're good friends of ours and I've been trying to get both bands back in sac for 6 months now or so. Also, house show crowds and bar crowds are completely different. It's also Crystal's going away party so I doubt there will even be shows in that house anymore after that night; and G. Green has never played there and Crystal is a good friend of ours; and, actually, it stays a well-oiled machine because we play 1-2 new songs at every show. We're that efficient.
