This is the first time on the West Coast for avant improv folky psych weirdness that is Wooden Wand and the Vanishing Voice, and they are showing up just as the first pressing of their ?Sunset Sleeves? LP on Sacto?s Weird Forest label has sold out (maybe the band still has some!). They also have new releases on Troubleman Unlimited and Threelobed and forthcoming release on 5RC, so check them out now before they move on to bigger things and we can?t get them to play small venues for cheap anymore. San Diego based out there folkies The Castanets and local faves Living Breathing Music round out what should be an all-around great evening of outsider sounds.
