As always :the show will feature food and drink. This show's feature food is :pancakes...mmmmm : :The Lineup: : :Little Teeth (San Francisco) :myspace.com/littleteethmusic : :Slightly experimental indie folk with a flair for good melodies and sparse arrangements. Oh, this description isnt very good but really they will be :good! Sure to delight!!! : :DAD (San Cruz/Astronomy Club Ghost Story) :myspace.com/dadtheband : :This band is really all about the lyrics. Witty, bitter and prone to not finishing many of their songs. The dude's Dad died from cancer and this in some ways is some sort of mode of therapy. Very amatuer documentary about the band here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-6QMDoEYgE tells the story :lead you to believe hes fucked in the head, which he is. :Local sweethearts of Santa Cruz, saw them play a show to 30-40 devoted people crammed into the tiny living room of a triplex. Everyone sang along, clapped to the beat and showed and emmense amount of love for the :band. Can we do the same? Yes, please. : :Alas Alak Alaska! (Absolution and Burial) :myspace.com/alasalakalaska : :Lady from Chorused the Animals of Perfect Light plays her guitar well and sings it well too. Non-standard arrangements and playing style make for even more interesting music that only the foothills can spawn. : :Monogamous Casanovas (Huntington Beach) :http://www.myspace.com/themonogamouscasanovas : :More well-done folk, at times sounds very much like elliot smith, but im sure thats just coincidence. This is will be a slight departure for our typical shows. So, I hope some new faces will be attracted and I hope the usual crowd will be there too. Because we really DO love you all.
