As part of our on-going weekly series of film screenings in conjunction with Fools Foundation, next Friday (10/13) we will be showing the documentary "Independent America: The Two-Lane Search for Mom & Pop." This essentially looks at the state of mom & pop businesses across the US via a cross-country road trip by husband and wife (and former NBC and CNN journalists) Hanson Hosein and Heather Hughes.
However, the point of this bulletin is to let you know that Hanson Hosein is scheduled to be interviewed live via phone by Christine Craft at some time between 4 and 5 PM tomorrow, Monday Oct 9, on her radio show on KSAC 1240 AM. We wanted to let you know in case any of you wanted to catch it.
Also, 1240 will be giving away some passes to the screening of "Independent America" on Monday and Tuesday. I have no idea when they will be doing that, though. The screening will be at Fools Foundation, 1025 19th St (19th & K - in the alley, in the basement), Friday 10/13 at 7 PM. And it will be the usual 5 bucks to get in.
In the future, 1240 and Christine Craft will also be doing more live, on-air phone interviews with filmmakers as well as giving away passes for select films. If you're on our email list, we'll keep you updated on all of this so you have advance notice.
November's schedule is coming very, very soon. And some neat things are in store, including a special Sunday afternoon screening which will be free, free, free!! More on that soon!
