at the turtle house, 217 2nd street in davis. 8pm. $4-5 for bands, first 12 paying fellas/guys get a free (and possibly cold) beer from yours truly.



tuxedo killers and daniel francis doyle share most of the same members. they are two totally different and really cool bands to me. i would describe this to you but i'm feeling a little lazier than usual and don't want to say something all "sounds like monorchid, metamatics, and maybe excelsior but less boogie rock, and a little quirkier" about tuxedo killers, but that's all i have right now. those are some of my favorite bands though, so i think maybe i should say that i consider this a big personal endorsement. dfd duds seem like they are going a little further out there, enough trip for the head in me, but enough rock for the dude in me. i think both bands are going to completely kill it. here's the links to draw your own conclusions with:

sore maps is the sores. they are going to do a cover set of swell maps songs. should be good.



uh yeah, so weather will be hot probably so dress accordingly. i'll be on hand with the cold brews to cool you off with and also i'm sure there's a hose somewhere we can spray each other with and pass out drunk on the college campus and then get beat up by t.a.p.s. dudes for no good reason. if anyone wants to meet up somewhere in davis before the show to eat vietnamese sandwiches or something, get in touch...also, sac dawgs i need a ride to/from this. volunteers?
