if i went to fewer shows it'd be like 1 every two months... how is that conducive to a scene? shouldn't people be going to at least one show a month... there is a great liklihood one of the same same bands will play at the few-and-far between shows... like getting teh same homie every time you try and get a new one, knowing damn well you get the same homie everytime for 50 cent... so you only try every once and a while, yet, low and behold, same homie.
