an interesting thought arises at this point in yet another very immature undietacos rampage: what relevance is a sammy in the public concern? wouldn't "sammy" to a non-local just sound really indicative of a silly, inbred, circle jerk music scene in a town growing too big for its britches forgetting the actual progressions of development and lunging straight for the top? then again, what about people in sacramento even? do more than a handful of SN&R coffee-shop lobotomies care who wins a sammy? being a sacramento native myself who is concerned with ideals of locality, i enjoy a hearty chuckle at the idea of the sammys and their qualifications in the minds of musicians playing for that honorable achievement. constructive criticism is healthy, skepticism is good, elevating to competitive pedestals is dangerous. please think twice before the next time you qualify yourself above others publicly with your subjective honors. thanks for the consideration, in advance.
